In an effort to redeem myself

I offer this snazzy illustration of two tigers...um fighting and stuff. Or at least they're about to fight. This was a sports illustration (and we all know how sports illiterate I am) about two different schools competing in the Southern Heritage Classic. Both School mascots are tigers and both use blue and white. So...I had to fudge the blues a bit to make them different enough. Don't ask the names of the teams because I can't remember. Someone remind me to find the PDF of the broadsheet and I'll post that. Are you listening? That's all 3 of you. Good deal.

That's looking quite nice. I love the stylisation of the tigers and the approach to the coloring as well.

Man, those are some angry tigers.

Coolness.

I agree this one is snazzy. I like the sketchy/woodcutty look to the coloring.

Thanks guys! I have to admit I really like this one. It was way less conceptual and way more "aesthetic." If I had the time I would have preferred to ink two individual tigers, but under the gun I had to just flip the one version. I really liked inking the tigers and the coloring process was really quick and scribbly in photoshop which makes for the woodcutty look. If I had more time for personal work I'd do a bit more of this. Maybe I'll quit all my jobs, live off the land and just draw tigers from here on.
