It's like a little sketchy cast

I don't know...how's this?

I think the actual foot needs to be pointing more away from the character. Other then that I love this Daredevil.

Yeah, I was just looking at it for the first time- and I agree. with M.E. Walsh. I don't think it is the foot that is bothering you -I think it is the angle of the leg set up by the direction of the upper leg, knee, and calf muscle- which is then cut in opposition by the angle of the boot and foot. i don't think you've got it just yet- but I think it would only take minor tweaking. other than that, looks really good. I wasn't initially interested with the original concept- but your artwork has made it really interesting and cool.

M.E. Walsh, you had it. I adjusted the leg/foot as per your suggestion, sir and I'm about to graft it in place. Thanks for the advice!

Bradford, consider it tweaked and thanks for the kind words!

yeah, looks great! if you don't mind my asking.. do you color in Illustrator, Photoshop, or something else? I've played around with Illustrator under my line art- but it seems like a long way around to get a pretty simple coloring job. plus a ton a layers, any tips?

I do almost all of my coloring in photoshop. I make 2 layers of my black and white line art. I drop all the white out of the top layer and I apply a multifill filter to the black and white layer beneath. It drops random colors in all the different segments of line art. I apply a flatten filter and it gets rid of the line art and bumps all the different colors together. Then I select all those colors and convert them to one base color. I use the lasso tool to grab all the biggest areas and start dropping in different colors and slowly work toward the smaller details. I think Daredevil took around 3 hours to color. If you're interested in those filters I can send you a link. They save a LOT of time.
